The Utemaster MK2 Load-Lid is a premium aluminium hard lid engineered specifically for the 2025+ Kia Tasman. Constructed from lightweight aluminium, it supports 200kg on top - making it the strongest hard lid available for your Kia Tasman. Price shown includes Destroyer Side Rails, the front mounted Load Stop is an optional add on.
Installation uses your factory tub mounting points. No drilling. No permanent modifications. If you ever sell the ute, the MK2 Load-Lid comes off clean.

“So my initial story is below from back in January. Delighted to report this is now a great service recovery outcome. Utemaster reacted so quick to my review, replaced the lid, had it fitted at a ford dealer close to me and everything is perfect. Top job Utemaster - I’ll be advocating for you ! Purchased a new Load-lid, destroyer rails, spacer kit and gas stay upgrade. Had it fitted by the car dealer to a brand new ute 3 weeks ago. Since then the seals on the deck have failed with water leaking in, electric lock system has come away under the deck lid, and the locking mechanism doesnt work when you shut the lid. Now I'm doing all the running around trying to get it fixed. The principle of after sales service quality is lost on this business”

A standard Load-Lid™ weighs approximately 50-70kg.

The Load-Lid™ is supplied with gas stays which are at the optimum pressure for everyday use and are designed to help you open and close the lid.
However, they won't hold the lid open with a load on top. This is because it would require up to 200kg's of upwards pressure to open the lid with a load on it meaning that the operator would need to pull down with 200kg's of force to close the lid again which is not physically possible.
If you are carrying a Roof Top Tent and require access to the Tub, we recommend removing the locking plate on the Load-Lid™ handle so you can access the Tub through the tailgate (see below). -
The Load-Lid™ comes standard with a locking plate under the handle which serves as an extra security measure. If required, you can remove it which will allow you to open the tailgate while the Load-Lid™ is closed. Depending on your lid model you may need to open the lid slightly to get the tailgate open.
If your Ute doesn't have a central locking tailgate we recommend that you install this to provide security without the plate. -
The Utemaster Load-Lid™ has a dynamic load rating of 200kg, which means you can carry 200kg of gear when driving. The load rating requirement when driving is far greater than when the vehicle is parked.
When the vehicle is parked, the Load-Lid™ will support the weight of 2 people inside a Roof Top Tent. -
Yes, the Load-Lid™ comes with a set of keys which allow you to lock the lid manually.

The Standard and Sports Bar Load-Lids are very easy to install and are be done without needing to drill into the tub. We recommend you check out the instructions listed further up this page so you can see how it works for your model.
If you are not confident in doing this yourself we can arrange fitting through one of our resellers. -
This product is only compatible with the under rail liner, not compatible with over rail liner. If it is a spray-on liner you'll have no issues fitting the Load-Lid. If you have a plastic liner that goes over the top of the Tub you may need to cut it down so the lid sits correctly and does not leak.

You can put a load directly onto the aluminium treadplate surface.
Aluminium is very hard wearing and the Load-Lid™ comes standard coated in a teflon-based matte black powdercoat.
Some companies claim their roller covers or plastic lids have a load rating, but be aware that just because someone can stand on it while the vehicle is parked doesn’t mean it can carry a load. -
If you can't fit your load on top, the Load-Lid™ can easily be removed by undoing the 4x wing bolts which hold it in place.
It can be done in a matter of minutes and all you'll need is a mate or two to help lift it off.
This gives you the space you'll need to carry objects such as a dirt bike in your tub. Please note removal process varies from model to model, however it is still super easy. -
The Load-Lid™ sits above the edge of the Tub, so the height of the fridges you can fit is determined by the Tub depth. It is very common for customers to put fridges underneath the Load-Lid.

With the Load-Lid™ there are no intrusions below the top edge of your tub. The unique raised edge profile also adds a staunch appearance, improves rigidity and reduces water pooling. The easiest way to work out what will fit under the Load-Lid (for example a fridge) is to measure from the bottom of the tub to the top edge of the tub.
